Josephine Martell, Evaluation Core Co-Director – Dr. Martell is the Associate Dean of Academics in the Cornell University Graduate School and the Senior Advisor to the FIRST Faculty Development Core. Martell has over twenty years-experience in social equity, research, and public policy, including training as an international program evaluator. Martell will co-lead the evaluation core with Dr. Samuelson and ensure that the FIRST Faculty Development Program and Monitoring and Evaluation Initiative are well integrated. She will also serve as a member of the FIRST Institutional Steering Committee. Martell leads the Cornell Early-Career Grant Mentoring Program which includes a six-week grant writing workshop for early-career faculty.
